Q: How do I dispose of household rubbish?

The green bins are for all other household waste.

  • It is important to note that cardboard/packaging items MUST BE cut up to reduce the size and placed directly in the bins and not just left on top of the bins. The Council bin men can and have refused to take items that are not in the bins and the Council can impose a penalty.
  • Household waste this does not include radiators, building material such as tiles, irons and boards, nappies, microwaves, carpets and items to do with personal hygiene. These items must be taken to the Council tip in Worthing or Shoreham.
