Location of Milford Court

Milford Court is located opposite the beach overlooking beach huts, many owned by Milford Court residents. The huts occasionally become available. Worthing is a 2 mile walk or a few minutes bus ride. Brighton is 10 miles away with buses departing from Milford Court every 10 minutes during the day. Lancing Railway station is only a 15 minute walk from the flats, with several trains each hour to local towns/areas and direct to London, Worthing, Brighton and Gatwick Airport

  • Micro Bars are becoming increasingly popular across the country, Lancing has a good one in Queens Parade – The Stanley Ale House
  • Beach Green – During the year there are many activities on Beach Green including Fetes, Fairs, Circuses and an open market every Bank Holiday Monday. Beach Green is a 5 minute walk from Milford Court
  • The Perch is a very popular Restaurant/Café on Beach Green. There is also a members gymnasium attached. The Perch Opening Hours
  • Beach Green Hotel a Pub, Restaurant and Hotel. The nearest bar/restaurant from Milford Court, great reviews, just half a mile on the main road heading East
  • Lancing Sailing Club, is at the far end of Beach Green, just a short walk away.
  • The Beach and the Sea Lancing is fast becoming the place to kite-surf in the UK and a kite-surfacing club has recently opened down on Beach Green. There is also a Kite-Surfing school right opposite the Milford Court building Lancing Kite Surf School Contact Mark Rose
  • Brooklands Leisure Park is adjacent to Milford Court and is open all year. This fun park has many facilities including a good par 3 golf course and is great for children offering pony rides, summertime paddling pool, trikes, trampolines, bouncy castles, children’s play park, and boats you can row on the lake. There is also a unique miniature train which carries people round the lake. Children love the playground, and there is a special playground for children with disabilities. We Play Too includes a wheelchair swing, musical sensory equipment, sensory springers, a theme bench and assisted saddles for the pony rides.
  • WideWater Lagoon This beautiful, coastal nature reserve is one of Lancing’s hidden treasures that is situated a short stroll along Lancing seafront, between Beach Green and Shoreham Beach. As seasons change throughout the year, you will discover a rich diversity of birds that rest, migrate and reside here. Watch the Little Egret wading through the shallow waters with its elegant, crested plumage, listen to the haunting cry of the Oyster Catcher or simply sit and watch the Swans as they glide serenely by.

Nearby Towns

Lancing centre is a short walk away with many small local shops including an ASDA and COOP which mean residents do not have to drive to the large ‘out of town stores’. There are also several pubs, bars and restaurants.

Worthing has a pier and nice seafront. There are many restaurants and some night life, view their website to learn more.

Brighton has something for everybody, with a Marina, Theatre, a very busy night life and a famous pier, and much more including the spectacular Pavilion.

Just 4 miles from Milford Court you can enjoy visiting Shoreham a town with a real history. Part of Shoreham is in the South Downs Valley with the River Adur running through with Lancing College on one side and Shoreham Airport on the other. The college is situated on a hill, which is part of the South Downs, the campus dominates the local landscape. There is a famous Chapel at Lancing College which is open to the public.
